Accommodation
Our first phase of luxury indoor pens have now been in use for just over a year, we are now pleased to announce that we have completed phase two, which consists of our luxury outdoor pens. All our units have been built to CIEH (Charted Institute of Environmental Health) Standards, We are fully insured and have been Licensed by Cheshire West and Chester Council. We will again be updating our web page shortly, which will include photo's of our new outdoor units.
Our spacious indoor pens are set up for a single cat occupancy with the Penthouse sleeping area having 9 Sq.Ft. and an over sized exercise area of 24 Sq.Ft. (Boarding Cattery Standards only require 18 Sq.Ft.) The sleeping area has thermostatically controlled tubular heaters, and is insulated using Kingspan Insulation. We have also installed a window in the sleeping area with a shelf so that the more timid cats can look out whilst getting accustomed to there new surroundings. A cat flap is also fitted so they have free access to the sleeping quarters or exercise area when ever they wish.
For families with more than one cat we can link two pens together by removing a panel in the dividing wall, which enables us to house up to three cats from the same family. All dividing walls are clad with UPVC wall cladding which is ideal for keeping hygienically clean. We have also fitted a ventilation system where there is
always a flow of fresh air circulating around in the
building. To give your cat some reassurance when we are busy attending to our other guests, we have installed a sound system, so your cats can hear some familiar sounds such as 'Dee 106.3' or maybe a little 'Smooth FM' radio.
If your cat is more of a Night Owl, we have our Night Shift to keep them entertained. Pixie and Dixie our Chinese Hamsters have new improved housing. We have built what we call our 'Hamster Wall', These are situated on the far side of the safety passage from your cats pens, so no one will come to any harm!!! The walls are a series of levels and ramps for our little friends to scurry around and explore and so entertain our guests. We also have our Night-time 'Low - Lighting', To give a more comfortable homely night-time feel... If your cat likes watching birds, then we have our bird feeders situated just outside the windows to attract a wide variety of wild birds from near by Delamere Forest.

Three Cats £14.50 Per Day

Four Cats £16.50 Per Day
(same family/2 x Single Joined Pens or one double pen)

1st April 2012 our prices for a single cat
will be £7.75 per day.
All other prices will stay the same
*All above prices include 24 Hour Vet Cover & Insurance.
*Vet Bills that cover up to £1.250 per cat, per stay,
(see terms & conditions).
*All-year round heating.
* We offer a one day boarding service throughout the year
(except Christmas & New Year).
* For cats staying for one month or over then please ring
for further discounts.

This is to ensure that all our cats staying here are kept at all times calm and at peace, so not to upset their stay here with us at Downdale, we also feel that we can give each of our customers the individual time that is needed for them to view, book and settle their cat into Downdale, without feeling rushed or unsettled themselves....
