 Downdale Cattery is based on the belief that our cats' needs are of the utmost importance to us here at Downdale. We feel as though we fully understand and sympathis with owners fears and needs for their cats, as many people can become anxious just at the thought of leaving their family member in the trust of someone else's care while they are away. Some to the extent that they feel quiet unable to go on holiday, even for a couple of days. We understand these anxieties and so we deliberately do everything ourselves so we can ensure individual attention and in return build a relationship with both our customers and their cats.Peace of mind! If you like we can send you a text message/pictures on your phone or through E-mail, to let you know how your loved one is settling in and so giving you peace of mind, Please let us know when you arrive, if you wish for us to send updates. We would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you one of the best services in the industry.
A WARM WELCOME  When you first arrive here with us at Downdale Cattery we would ask you to fill in a form, and have a chat with us about your cat's needs including any little quirks they may have(so we don't go rushing them off to that naughty man with needles, that mummy & daddy call the'Vet Man'). We understand that not all our guests will be active and sociable. Some may be shy, old, pregnant, or even recovering from an injury. At Downdale Cattery we are happy to tailor our routine around the specific needs of our guests. This may mean a lot more checking up on them, including more fuss and cuddles than usual, or they may just want to lounge around all day and be left in peace. This also includes administering medicines or the preparation of a special diet (unfortunately we are unable to provide prescription diets so you will have to bring those along with you). Should you wish for us or yourselves to provide fresh or frozen chicken, prawns, fish etc, we will be happy to cook these for your cats (we supply HiLife tinned Tuna, Salmon & HiLife Turkey & Chicken). They will have their units cleaned daily, and their water and litter trays will be checked and changed throughout the day. We supply and sell only the best brands of cat food here at Downdale, with our main brands of top quality complete dried, being , ProPlan, Royal Canin, James Wellbeloved of which we cover the full range, (we would supply one of the above complete dry cat foods, to all our cats here unless otherwise stated). We also have a selection of , Iams, Whiskas, Go-Cat, Hills Science complete dried feeds, with all Felix, Whiskas, Sheba, Iams, HiLife Pouches wet foods in both Jelly & Gravy varieties, in both wet & dry ranges they also include Kitten & Senior, we supply both Whiskas & Felix cat milk. We have a full selection of Gourmet Solitaire & HiLife Perfection's at Downdale Cattery for a small extra charge. 'As they are on their holidays too!!!'
 We would give you the choice to put your cat into the chalets to help quietly settle them in, and only to leave when you feel happy. It is important to us that you are relaxed and do not feel rushed. Should your cat require grooming we are happy to do this (for no extra charge) as long as you provide the necessary equipment, for reasons of hygiene we do not provide communal brushes or combs. We supply plastic beds with 'Vetbed', but we really don't mind you bringing your own clean bedding for your loved one, or maybe a favourite jumper or cuddly teddy etc. We do supply toys, scratching posts and play tunnels, but again if you prefer your cat to have their own, then so long as they are in good, clean condition then we really don't mind letting them have theirs from home..... It's all about the cats being happy and contented at the end of the day!!!
